Kia EV6 GT will become available in the US in Q4. The EV6 GT was “unveiled” by Kia America today “for the first time in North America.” It’s remarkable how something that has been official for well over a year can accomplish any of these things, even though the car “debuts” at Monterey Car Week.

In March 2021, Kia unveiled the EV6 GT together with all the other EV6 iterations. In the fourth quarter of this year, North America will finally be able to purchase this magnificent top-of-the-line vehicle with 576 horsepower (so October to December).

All purchasers will receive a 1,000 kWh charging credit at Electrify America stations, redeemable over a three-year period. Kia America felt the need to “reveal” it formally once more in order to commemorate the fact that it would finally begin shipping this model roughly 19 to 22 months after first introducing it. So let’s quickly go through the figures, even if our specs page is also helpful in this situation.

The EV6 GT can reach speeds of 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds and 100 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds. It certainly isn’t a slouch; in independent testing by AMCI, it outran a Ferrari Roma and a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Spyder RWD in a drag race.

If you can locate a 350 kW charger, the 77.4 kWh battery may be charged from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes. Along with a Drift Mode, electronic suspension control, an electronic limited-slip differential, a strengthened chassis, faster ratio steering, and GT external design flourishes on the front and rear fasciae with neon highlights, there are many other features. Inside, racing-inspired bucket seats keep you seated while neon green details are added to the dash.
