The new Porsche Taycan EV is larger and more off-road capable than the previous generation. The Taycan Cross Turismo is a unique vehicle. Although it has adaptive air suspension for “uncompromising performance off-road,” 36mm (1.4 inches) additional headroom for the rear passengers, and a total cargo capacity of 1,200l (42 cu ft) with the rear seats folded, it isn’t called an estate. It’s almost like a Porsche version of the Audi Allroad Quattro concept.

It has the same 800V design as the non-Cross Turismo Taycan, and all four variants are equipped with a 93.4 kWh battery. By default, this supports 11 kW AC charging, but you may upgrade to 22 kW if you pay more for an optional upgrade. Using the quickest approved DC chargers (270 kW), you can get 100 kilometers (62 miles) of range in 5 minutes, or go from 5% to 80% in 23 minutes.

The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo is the entry-level model, with 280 kW (380 PS) of power and the ability to “over-boost” for launch control up to 350 kW (476 PS) for a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time of 5.1 seconds. It has a top speed of 220 km/h (136 mph) and a range of 389 to 456 km in the WLTP cycle (241 – 283 miles).

The Taycan 4S Cross Turismo has 360 kW (490 PS) of power, with an over-boost to 420 kW (571 PS), a 0-100 km/h time of 4.1 seconds, a peak speed of 240 km/h (149 mph), and a WLTP range of 388 – 452 km (241 – 280 miles).

The 460 kW (625 PS) Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo can over-boost to 500 kW (680 PS) for launch control, speeds from 0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, has a peak speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), and a WLTP range of 395 – 452 km (245 – 280 miles).

Finally, the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo has the same performance figures as the Turbo, but it can over-boost to 560 kW (761 PS) for a 0-100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds. The top speed is also the same, however, the WLTP range differs slightly: 388-419 km (241 – 260 miles).

All variants come standard with all-wheel drive, and an optional Off-Road package raises ground clearance by up to 3cm (1.18 inches), allowing the car to be driven “over challenging off-road terrain.” Gravel Mode is a feature that comes standard and enhances driving on rocky roads.

The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is ready 2

If you’ve ever seen a vanilla Taycan, you’ll recognize the interior design, which features wing-shaped upper and lower dashboard portions that span the whole width of the vehicle. A free-standing, curved instrument cluster, a central 10.9-inch infotainment display, and an optional front passenger display are all wrapped in a black-paneled glass ring.

The boot/trunk space in the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo and Taycan 4S Cross Turismo is 446l (15.7 cu ft), which expands to 1,212l (42.8 cu ft) when the rear seats are folded. With the rear seats folding, the trunk/boot space of the Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo expands to 1,171l (41.3 cu ft).

In the summer, the Taycan Cross Turismo line will be available.
